Shoe Crazy

So, that dress that I found last week? It was for last night's cocktail party/ Joe Jonas/ Rascal Flatts concert here at Blissdom. If there was ever a time to dress up to the nines, it was last night.

I was so excited to find a dress that I felt confident in. A dress that would hide the scars from the accident. And even if it made me feel a bit like a cougar, everyone else would be a little cougarish too, so what did it matter?

Joe Jonas brought out the cougar in all of us.  I had to remind myself that Joe is four years older than my eldest child. How is that even possible?

Ok, so here it is. The dress. A little wild and a whole lot of fun. Don't the heels look perfect with it? If you were reading my blog this time last year, you'll remember that when I packed for Blissdom last year, I forgot my heels.

This year I made damn sure I brought them. I was so proud of myself that I had remembered them this time around, but that pride changed to horror when I got dressed last night. Because even though I remembered to pack my heels....

I packed two different shoes. Sigh.

The funniest part? Nobody noticed. I had no choice but to wear them, but luckily they were both four inches tall and patent leather. My friends even complimented me on my ensemble without even realizing I was wearing two different shoes.

I cannot be trusted to pack a suitcase.

I'll be posting a more detailed post later this evening about my experiences here at Blissdom, but I wanted to take a moment and share this story with you. I knew you'd get a chuckle.

Too funny, but after what you went through and to be wearing 4 inch heals who cares if they are different. By the way you "rocked" the dress....

You look fantastic! LOL about the shoes! Sounds like something I would do. And as for Joe Jonas, he's 4 years older than my daughter who is straight up in LOVE with him. She's met him more times than I can count and I've taken her to countless Jonas Brothers and Joe Jonas (by himself) concerts. And yes, he is BEAUTIFUL and he brings out the couger in me to! Blush....

I've done that too. Sadly, at work and more than once! I've been known to wear two different earrings - by mistake! Now that my marbles have rolled away....I miss them!!!

Ha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's done that! I went to work with two different boots on...you'd think I'd have noticed. It was only the flash of Light brown, dark brown; light brown, dark brown as I walked across the parking lot that clued me in.

haha even with mis-matched shoes, I love it

I'm kinda glad you did that. It totally gave me the giggles. I know you had a great time even if you were barefoot!!!And besides, now you know the dress goes with either pair of shoes. LOL.

You had the newest designer wrinkle in shoes. Best part is you have the mirror image of that pair back home.

Love it that it worked so well.

Absolutely love it! I'm notorious for walking out with two different shoes on, so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one :) but girlfriend, you rocked that dress! Seriously, congratulations, you look fabulous!!

I had to comment on this one so that you know you aren't alone- one time I was meeting my friend and her little ones at Busch Gardens (have passes)- I drove over (alone)and walked quite a distance- talking to her on the phone figuring out where she was etc. All of a sudden I looked down and YEP, I had 2 different sandals on! How could that happen you ask, well, I am famous for putting my shoes under my bed and so I just slipped them on without looking- pretty impressive when you think about it!! haha!! (you still looked great though!)

Melanie,
Even though you can tell the difference between the two shoes in the above picture, I promise you couldn't tell from regular view. I really didn't realize until you pointed it out...your toenails were too cute and shiny!

It was so good to finally meet you in person!

That is hilarious! I laughed aloud at that. You are so busy trying to get out that you just grabbed two shoes. At least they were not two right or two left shoes. Fuuuunnnny!
